The gift of health gift guide

I don’t know about you but when the holiday’s hit, my friends and family start to ask for gift ideas. The older I get, the harder it gets for me to come up with things.  I don’t know if it’s because I don’t really want them to feel the need to buy me a gift, if I just blank, or if I buy things that I want for myself. But I know one thing for sure, I am not the only one who has this problem! The same people asking for lists from me, are also having a hard time coming up with one for themselves. I thought I’d put together a list of some of my favorite health and wellness items of 2017….so if you have a health or wellness focused person on your list check out the items below.

Up first is my new found and all time favorite fitness tracker (for the record, I’ve owned 3 other trackers). It’s from Nokia Health, but it’s not your average fitness tracker! It looks like a beautiful analog watch and shows no signs at all that it is actually monitoring my heart rate, tracks my activities, my sleep cycles, my step and so much more. I get compliments on it all the time and no one ever knows that it’s actually a tracker. It communicates with an app on my smart phone, but Nokia Health also offers smart scales that will connect all 3 of them. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to track their efforts, but isn’t into how unattractive most of the watches are currently on the market. I would buy this watch just because it’s cute, the fact that it does more than my previous trackers is just a huge added benefit. For more details or to purchase you can check out their site: http://nokia.ly/2AQSke9

*****Side note!!! Nokia and I are doing a giveaway, you can win one of these watches! Check out my instagram for more details! @Chelsea_MillerXOXO*****

Another thing anyone on a health and wellness kick needs….well some new and comfortable kicks (see what I did there??)! I’ve gone through hundreds of different brands and styles of sneakers, but at the moment I am loving Brooks new road running shoes “Levitate”. I personally do a wide range of workouts; I hike, I run and walk my dogs outside, and I do high intensity cross training in the gym, so I need a shoes that can do it all. These shoes are incredibly comfortable and springy and are proving to last no matter what I throw at them. You can buy them here.

So I’m new to foam rolling, but it’s something I really love. It’s great for helping with flexibility, aches, pains, and sore muscles. I also periodically get sciatica pain and foam rolling really helps to elevate some of the ache. Sitting for too long causes a flare up in my pain, so when I’m traveling it can get really bad. I’ve thought about taking my foam roller with me a million times, but it’s big and awkward. So here’s a foam roller you can travel with! You can purchase it here.

I’m a girl that loves quality but almost equally I love affordability! The JoyLab line at target is my jam! And my favorite leggings so far these high waisted beauties. They stay up, they flatter and they are under $40! Win Win! Check it here.

If your loved one is health focused and loves to cook, they’ll love this spiralizer. It’s super easy to use and comes with different settings so you can make different kinds of vegetable noodles. Also great for anyone who is gluten free! Get one here.

While it’s not a foolproof list, I hope it helps anyone out there that may be struggling to find that perfect item for the health nut in their life. These are just a few of my favorites, but I’d love to hear if anyone has any other suggestions! Leave them in the comments section!!
